Hi everyone great morning to you all I’m up, and its early. 6:30 to be exact. I Had 2 whole wheat waffles for my breakfast, with a glass of milk,banana, and protein powder 1 scoop. I played WOW after my breakfast and I started my work out at 9:00. Today was an intense workout for me, I must have slept wrong last night cause my back was feeling the burn. I kept my forms clean today also this is the first time I have had my workout this ealry in the day, so it was a nice change to feel this good this ealry in the morning. Kempo really hits the spot for me the punches, kicks, and blocks really move you around, as I have said before for my last 2 kempo X workouts. You are moving and getting 1 awesome workout, after the warm up you jump right in and start moving around, even during the breaks you have the option to keep moving to keep your heart rate up, I recommend to you all during this to most def>> take your drink of water and get in there to keep moving and stay active while your breathing. By the end of this workout my shirt was soaked in sweat, so I know that I’m working hard, also buring lots of calories. This workout is far the best I think. Well for me its the end of week 3 and I feel fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eating wise and body/health wise all around I’m doing great and glad I’m doing the P90X program. WEEK 1 RECAP VIDEO
Started off my morning with a banana, mixed berries and a chocolate protein shake for breakfast. Went into work this morning, my wife needed front breaks, front links and bushings an oil change and inspection on her van. Also after I finished all that I washed and vacuumed it out… let’s just say I gave it a once over. Trust me it needed it!
After all that I came home and had a chicken salad with peppers, artichokes, spinach, corn and lettuce which was an excellent meal and it is offered in the P90X nutrition plan. After lunch hung out with my wife and kids for a little bit. Watched a little bit of TV, played micro machines, and had a light saber battle with my son with our star wars light sabers, and we also played with action figures for a bit.
After that I headed out to a friends house and did Kenpo X. Being that it was the end of the week I really felt like I had to give it my all. I started modifying my moves, for example the knee kick to the back kick instead of putting my foot on the ground in between each move I made it one continuous move by not putting my foot to the ground. This makes it harder because you have to keep good form while maintaining your balance.
My friend did the workout with me, that was pretty cool. Today we had camera in motion, my other friend was moving around with the camera which will allow you to see the exercises up close and in your face, because I know that’s what you people want. During my regular days I try to get up in the camera to show you what’s going on, but today having the camera get up in my face really brings the workouts to you.
Well guys, don’t mean to rush you out, but tonight is BBQ and Call of Duty 4… video game night for us, we might even do a little extra!

Spider Bite!
Started off the day with a good breakfast (still trying to make up for last night’s splurge). I had a cheese scrambler and 1/4 of a cantelope. Pretty good I must say. Sat around for a couple of hours this morning playing my pixel crack. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it’s means I was hooked up to World of Warcraft for most of the morning LOL! After I broke for lunch (which was the shrimp stir fry from the nutrition guide…….REALLY GOOD), my wife had to take my son to the ER. He was bitten by a spider on his right ear when he was at my father’s house. His ear swelled up 2-3 times it’s normal size and turned red/purple and was oozing nasty stuff. The doctors said it had already developed into a staff infection and the nuerotoxin from the venom was causing skin death. If left untreated it could start eating away the cartiledge on his ear. As it is now they had to drain his ear and put him on high doses of antibiotic and steroids. He should be okay, but we still have to watch him carefully.
Now that the serious stuff is out of the way, let’s talk about Kenpo X. Had a great time today with it. It was actually a fun workout. I used to take karate when I was younger and all the punches, blocks and kicks really took me back. It was very fast paced. It seemed you didn’t even really have time to wipe the sweat from your face. I liked during the intermission breaks when we did the X Flight Jumping Jacks. Those are fun. It’s basically when you jump off the ground and do a huge jumping jack in mid air. I also liked how during the last 10 reps of certain exercises you get to yell, which for me (as you know) is always a good time. The louder the better.
