Great start on week 11  here  Tom is on fire ready and awaiting the PX90 famouser. This should be motivation  for all of you get up and start the P90X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  My breakfast this morning was fruit bread, and a banana, coffee black. My A.M snack was a recovery drink. My morning was good I had a few cars come in today with some work so my morning went by nicely. Its great to be doing something like knowing that you can get the customer back on the road ASAP as long as we have the parts in stock, but thats not my Dept. so I can’t do anything more to help other than whe I get my parts to install them promptly and properly. No slacking no mishapps no shaniganes. I am 5 star Bring-it. Lunch was good but light today. A turkey burger for me on a whole wheat bread slices, salad leafs, spinach leafs on my burger to. I also had a yogart with a glass of water. Today my recovery drink got stirred into my coffee cup with my pen. I did not have a spoon to stir it up with so my lunch water tasted like recovery drink it actually had some flavor other than dealership water. My P.M. snack was a cheese string with almonds. Once again once afternoon kicked in to play there was nothing to do again, so the rest of the day went all to crap real fast. I drove home in the dark too, that was crap now that day light savings has come to visit us. This was the first day since last year that I had to drive home getting out of work and having it be dark. My dinner toight was pork chop, peas, mashed potato, glass of milk. After dinner I had 2 fig newtons with a glass of cranberry/rasberry juice. After dinner the kids and I played the family game Flipin Frogs. Its a great game to play we all say Fire at will commander then all you see is a bunch of different color frogs flying through the air in hops that your frog lands on the branch, and that when the timer goes off. The branchs flip up a bit so the player with the most frogs wins that round. Its fun you should all try it out excellent family game. Tonights workout went as follows All pullups tonight were black bands wide fronts 15/15 – reverse grip 15/15 – close grip over hand 15/15.  Standard pushups 20/20 — military pushups/decline/diamond 15/15/15/15/15/15 — lawnmowers/heavypants 25 lbs 15/15/15/15 – backflys 25lbs 12/12 — divebombers 15/12 by the end i was cooked me arms are extra ripped and crispy!!!!!!!  thanks folks hope you can understand my numbers I can. I know what I am doing. I’m doing great as far as I can see. Lets see what madame ruby sees. LOL she sees P90X busting out of her crystal ball. She also sees you getting up of the couch and snacking on beers and potato chips. Hope this info will help you get the best of the best (P90X)

Hello my breakfast yestarday was a coffee black a glass of milk and 2 slices of whole wheat toast with wieght watchers reduced fat cream cheese what a combo.  My A.M snack was a racovery drink. My lunch today was a strip steak salad with spinach salad greens tomato, fat free honey mustard dressing. Also a large glass of milk. After lunch My family and I went down to my cousins house so I could work on her car. She needed some brake work done today so we all went over to hang out and fix the car. My P.M. snack was a samuel adams and some candy bars, sorry but I endulged on some of my cousins kids candy bags they got a ton of candy so they don’t mind sharing alittle. After the car was done we all ordered out pizza and salad. For dinner I had 2 slices of pepperoni pizza, salad, dressing itialian, and a glass of diet pepsi. After dinner we went home. I started my workout then to get it done before I get tired. Legs and back was good since the change of going from blue band  to black band I’m feeling much more resistance when i go for the hold when the band is in affect. Using the upgraded weight is really helping me build my muscle and go for the win!!! All sets of my chin ups were clean as can be I really pull down and hold these now. My form is much better and has improved over these past few months. Now that I have the hang of it, i can do them on my pace and get them done rite. The pull ups are the same Im reaching with my bands to get the most out of them and then hold. During your hold stay focused don’t let your arms go hold that form for as long as you can beforeyou go back up to start the next one. I feel it I know you will. Abripper X went great I was in the zone for abripperx tonight I went to town on my sets taking the app break that I needed then jumping back in when ready. Tonight I did 30 extra masion twists, I had to put my feet down for a few seconds during the regular set. So when is was all done I ripped through another 30. Later guys time to run a herioc dungeon on my game WOW should be alot ofpeople on toinght. Should be pretty easy to form a group on a weekend, more people have time to play. little did they know before I sit down and play for hours, before I go to bed I did my workout now its time to play  mahwaaaaaa!!!!!!

Tom: Hello everyone today my breakfast from the P90X nutrition plan was a glass of milk and a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter. My A.M snack was a P90X protein bar. For lunch I had a bowl of chicken noddle soup with a glass of water My P.M. snack was a almond cruchy granola bar. For dinner I had Chicken, sweet potato, and spinach, and a glass of milk. My day at work went O.K. There must be something with these PT Cruiser’s I had to do a head gasket today on a 2004 2.4 cylinder DOHC. They stink I just did one a few weeks back I remeber talkig about one then. I;m almost done with it, I just have to tighen up a few loose ends. I need to hook up the ehaust, and the side lower engine mount to the frame. Also I need to charge back up the air conditioning cause you have to disconnect the hoses to get to the upper motor monut. My workout tonight went great I used my 25lbs dumb bells for all my excercises except the last one today. All my pull ups, chin ups and reverse pullups were done with my blue band. My lawnmowers and my elbow out lawnmowers were all 10 times at 25lbs!!! My open am curls are improving also I try to keep my body still and use my arms only without jerking my body around to get the cleanist form possible. My curl up hammer down today was 12 times 25 lbs. I did very well with those. My max pullups towards the end was 21 total thats a good number for me as far as I am concerned cause by the end of this I can barly put up those 25lbs dumb bells. My arms get very spongee during tonights workout but I do feel improvements while pumping up these reps to excercise ratios. BRING IT people BRING IT!!!! Supermans were fun I try to get myself other than my stomach area right up off the ground and hold for as long as I can while I breath. This is an excellent workout timing wise it’s just what you need to get in a very nice workout and really feel it after you are done. Abripper X was draining tonight but I held up and finished. I skipped climbing my legs but did 60 masion twists to do a few extra for skipping me leg climb.

Jen: Hello everyone. Hope all of you are doing good and working hard. It makes me so happy to know that we have inspired/encouraged some of you to start your own programs or what have you. It is great to have someone know what you are going through and can offer support. I love hearing from those of you who are in the X commuity as well. Your day 30 pics are showing awesome improvements. Keep up the hard work! I swear I am hitting that half way point of “do I really have another 45 days inme?” But I know I do. I start work here in just a few short days. That’ll be the real challenge! But anyways, tonight was back, biceps, and ab ripper. I am making some great progress here. I am still using the orange bands for my back exercises and switching between 8 and 10 lb free weights for biceps work. As I said before, the bands kinda get cumbersome during the workout. I am doing between 10-12 reps and definately feeling the burn. I really enjoy doing this workout because it’s one of the few where I feel like I can kick ass. No lagging for me on this one. I rock it out! Now granted I’m not using 25lb weights like Tommy, but I’m still bringing it in my own right. My form is improving on ab ripper. Still struggle with the oblique crunches, but the rest are really coming together. I was doing the typical girl thing last night and scoping out my progress before I got in the shower. My inner thighs used to be really loose and flabby, now there is a good chunck of muscle where that flab used to reside. HA! I LOVE IT! So I will see you all tomorrow for yoga. I’m loving that too! Remeber guys, you can do it! <insert silly moving quote here>

Jen: Thanks to all who left comments on yesterday’s review. The encouragement really means a lot. After yesterday I wasn’t too sure I could do this. But I did survive, much to my own belief. I cannot tell you how great it made me feel to read all of those comments. I am so happy to hear that other couples are doing it together as well. I think working out is truly something better accomplished when you do it with someone else. At least I know I need someone yelling at me to get those extra 2 or 3 out! Needless to say I was sore as hell when I work up this morning. At one point last night I seriously thought I was gonna puke from allthat jumping around (result of drinking too much water during the workout). I was fine though. You wouldn’t believe how quickly I fell asleep after that nice hot shower! I can’t say I did much today. I basically didn’t feel like moving unless necessary. But come 8 o clock it was time to push play again and see what I was made of. Today’s workout wasa much welcomed change after yesterday. Not nearly as much jumping or high intensity moves. Basically it was an hour of alternating curls and pull ups. I love working my upper body! I always have, even back in the sports days of high school. I am still made fun of by my friends to this day for having manly shoulders and such. My upper body bulks up like crazy whenever I work it, what can I say? This being my first night doing this routine I spent a few secs at the begining of each move trying to determine exactly what it was they were doing and which weights I should use. I prefer using free weights during upper body training but the weights I have are kind of in between. Either they we too heavy for what we were doing or the other ones were too small. I have 5 lb and 10 lb weights, so I have decided I will go get some 8lb weights before I do this again. I definately think the weight issue made this workout a little too easy for me. The bands just seem to get in my way and make me feel akward. But to each her own. I was feeling pretty good when we reached the end, but then I rmemebered we still had ab ripper to do. UGH! I have never successfully made it through ab ripper x, even when just fooling around while Tom was doing his workouts. I was feeling the pressure to bring it. I am proud to say I actually finsihed the whole thing. I had a few sec breaks here and there. Tony recommends you do that though if this is your first few times. My stomach feels like it is on fire right now as I sit here typing this though. I really don’t understand how to do the oblique side crunches. I was completely confused on how to position my body for that one. I probably looked all sorts of akward on that one. I will have to have Tom show me or something, because I definately know I am doing it wrong. So I have made it through 2 days. Yay for me! Tomorrow is yoga. I am really looking forward to that. Tom took tomorrow off of work (he is leaving for the annual guy fishing trip tomorrow night). So we are going to get to spend the whole day together while the kids are in school. So we will get to do early morning yoga and then go have sme adult fun time without little children. Didn’t you always hate it when your parents did that to you? Ha ha ha, now I know why!

Tom: Hi my breakfast was a bowl of cereal this morning honey oats, glass of milk, and coffie. Snack A.M was a Recovery drink P.M snack was 1 1/2 cheese snack and low fat 94% butter free popcorn. This time it was not burnt, but not all of it popped :<( … For my lunch I had healthy choice chicken marsala, green beans, and noddles. Work was kind of slow today not much happening. The afternoon shift was pretty slow not to much to work on today for the most part. Today was my last day at work before I leave to go fishing don’t worry about me i’m still going to be doing the workout on my trip. Dinner tonight was chicken, mashed potatoes, and asperagus, and I had 2 glasses of milk. My workout tonight was intense I started using 25 lbs weights for most of my excercises maxing out at 8 -10 each. which is great. (My bands) I went for the blue bands for my pullups which is much more than my previous weeks. I have made the choice to start using more weight and do less reps maxing out at 8 -10!!!! My arms are very sore tonight towards the end of the workout I swtiched of to the orange band for the hammers also i used 10 lbs dumb bells cause my arms couldn’t take anymore than that. I made it almost all the way through but had to change up on my weights so I could complete the night. WHich is fine with me cause I am not going to give up, I will make the change do my best and continue to bring-it. The workout tonight left me soaked in sweet. Its a great workout and same as always its set up very nicely to keep you rolling through each individual excercise. Ab ripper X I found myself taking a few extra breath seconds to catch up with myself due to the fact the Biceps and Back was very intense. For me about 7-8 minutes into the AB Ripper X I feel my mid section has worked this is when I was stopping to take my breaks just to adjust to allow myself to get ready so when I jump back in I can bang out a few extra. Nite!!! see you all out there for the great Salmon run ……Tiny salmon chasing the impossible dream. My friends say I am bad luck when I go everyone stops catching fish LOL HAA HAA thats a bunch of crap…..

Hey folks starting off day 15 for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woke up this A.M and had a Mushroom, tomato, cheese (lowfat) scrambler and a glass of skim milk. I was rushing around this morning. I usually make some of my snacks and meals for the next day that night, that way I’m not fighting the clock at home and not speeding to try and get to work on time. A 5 star mechanic is always on time 7:59 sharp for me !!!!!!!!! is better than 8′ oclock . My day was super. I put in 10 hr’s before lunch break even hit. Also, mid way through I chilled in my bay and had my Recovery Drink !!!!!!! Lunch time I had a chef salad with 2 spoon fulls of fat-free thousand island dressing. Wife came in just after that. The power streeing line let go in the van in her daily travel’s. WTF if it isn’t 1 thing it’s the other ((OO__OO)) Figures. LOL! O well that’s how the cookie crumbles and that’s the bottom line. She’s a 99 with 77,000 what more do you want from her. Other than minor repairs its been a good family vehicle. Around 3ish was my snack 30 pieces of pistachio nuts, even though I like the tatse of the shell. Sometimes unless you have a toothpick handly I don’t recommend you chew on them for to long for maxium flavor. They will get stuck in your teeth. I Stayed late today to finish that up cause it was now my ride home. Only took about 25 minutes or so + fluid top off . You don’t want to run your power steering dry. It will make all sort of noises and possibly ruin the pump. Onto dinner___ came home to a great meal. Chicken, wild rice, and asperagus. It ruled the roost! Also a glass of milk to wash it all down. After all the dishes were done my wife and I read books to the kids. Only for about 20 minutes or so cause it’s a school night and I still need to Bring-IT. Chest and Back was great way to start off the night, I have been writing all my reps down for these past weeks now and on more than 10 excercises I have completed 3 to 5 more reps each. I can feel the burn now everyone. I’m trying to get maxium performance out of my work out. Everytime I thought I was done I would take a breather and knock out 3 to 5 more. Just remember it’s alot easier when you are breathing to do all of these push ups and pullups. This PX90 program is all about breathing and giving it your all. Ab ripper ripped up my ab’s tonight. I could feel the burn in my lower regoin’s of my body, mostly in the legs during bicycles. Finished up another day taking 1 more notch out of my 90 day’s. Keep following me all of you. Last night’s concert f*cking rocked! Motley Crue was awesome. Good pyrotechnics and all the good songs. My wife got an autograph from the guitarist in Nikki Sixx’s new band, Sixx AM. We were up until 4am. Good times! Today was a bit of a fudge day. It being a holiday weekend, we have had a lot of invites to BBQ’s and parties. We ate a good breakfast and lunch, stuck to the game plan. Come dinner time though it went a bit down hill. I definately had more than a few beers. But I tried to keep it smart with my pigging out. I didn’t park it in front of the snack table. I picked chicken instead of a burger or dog. I had salad as well. I’d say my major downfall was the pasta salad……oh and the piece of ice cream cake LOL! But hey, you can’t give up all the good things in life! I didn’t PIG OUT and that’s the important thing. Plus I am sticking to my workouts and maintaining a good diet the rest of the time.

 

Alright, workout review time. Today was legs, back, and abs. Definately hard core! My knees were feeling this one. Legs still feel like their on fire……my a** too. There were points when my quads were shaking/spasming from doing some of the moves. My back feels ripped up! Once again, worked up a nice healthy sweat. Can’t wait to see what THIS will feel like in the morning! Good thing it’s a 3 day weekend. Until next time……….BRING IT!!!!

Woke up and got breakfast this morning. It was huge! Didn’t realize it was gonna be that big. I ate most of it. As I was going to work I ate the rest of my breakfast which was a cup of strawberries. Had a fairly slow morning at work today. Had my protein bar at 10:30. Had my chef salad for lunch and then my cashews for my afternoon snack. Finished out my day waiting for a set of brakes that they kept telling me were in the building. 4 hours later after the runners went to the other dealerships twice I finally got my brakes. Picked up my dog from the groomers on the way home. Got home and ate dinner. It was pork chops, asperagus, and brown rice. Did you know asperagus makes your pee stink to the point of almost gagging?

Waited a little over an hour and then got things set up for P90X. Beginning seemed to be okay as I paced myself. Doing between 10-15 reps a piece doing the cleanest form I could get. But a little over half way when the program switches up and does everything in reverse that’s when I started to feel the burn. I had to do my push ups modified. Dranks lots of water during the workout, actually had to fill up the bottle a few times. Completed chest and back and then did ab ripper x. I had a bit of a hard time with heels to the heavens. Just couldn’t seem to lift off the ground without having to use my hands for assistance because it was hurting. But I did all the other ones as strong and as clean as I could. I definately had to use the breaks they tell ya to take. Finished it off and drank a recovery drink……I highly reccommend it!!! So that’s it for day 1 and all in all I noticed when I took my shower that my arms were having a hard time just scrubbing my hair cause they were still burning. Now I’m relaxing and going to bed. Later on.
