
P90X Day 82
Great morning to you all My breakfast this morning was whole wheat pancakes with 2 spoon fulls of surup. A glass of milk and coffee black. My A.M. snack was a recovery drink. My morning was good I had 1 car come in with no brake pedal pedal went to the floor it needs a new master cylinder, also the brake fluid was contaminated with debris, so it my also need additional work due to sweeling of the seals it could already be in the brake lines and the cailpers. My lunch was corn, steak, and a salad with thousand island fat free dressing. I had water to drink with my lunch. My P.M. snack was 6 crackers with a cheese stick. I had more water throughout the day at work also. This afternoon I got a couple of oil changes tires rotations, a mount and balance all 4 snow tires. At work today i also started my diesel training course. I have 4 out of the 8 post tests complete before i take my final exam!!!!! After worktoday my family came to my work to pick me up so we could go to the mall for dinner and christmas shopping. We went to Ruby Tuesdays. For dinner I had turkey mini’s with the salad bar green leafs, spinach, carrots, green peppers, lite ranch, croutons,and graded cheese. I had a sam adams to drink with my dinner. Tonight I changed my workout I am doing legs and back tonight instead of yoga X I am saving yoga for tomarrow due to it being a friday night and I would rather spend my hour and a half workout for tomarrow when have more time. Tonight’s workout for me was a relief to get my legs moving again for my workout night in plyometrics, usually the day after I do my plyometrics I can feel my legs in the way I walk. Like I have more energy in them. All my chin ups and pull ups tonight were done using my black band. When I get to the bottom of my rep I was holding for that extra tension really bringing out the squeeze. I have been getting out 15 total for most of these reps during the pull/chin ups. Which is a very good number for me, during the past month when I started out I was on the green band, then next month I switched to the blue band, now that I am used to the excercises and I want more size, I have switched to the black band for max performance. Onto the lunges ,Tipeetoe lunges and my chair lunges were done with wonderful form, I really went down in deep to feel it and during the lunges I added 10 lbs weights!!!!!!!! I am bringing it here cause this is my last day for strenght training beacause from here I will not need weights for my recovery week. So this was the finalizer in bands and weights. All in all throughtout this program I have increased my numbers and went for size by using the 25 lbs dumbbells and every month switching up to a heavier band. So thats how I did, I can say for myself that I am in much better fitness than I have ever been in. P90X Day 64
Hello my breakfast this morning was oatmeal with apples, bananas, raisens with a glass of milk. My A.M snack was a recovery drink. My lunch was a turkey burger on a whole wheat bread with salad greens on the burger and i ate the rest of the salad greens i had packed in a zip lock so it doen’t go to waste. My P.M snack was almonds and a cheese stick. My work is still slow we have work to keep us busy during the morning rush then we dye right out it stinks no work means no money. Dinner tonight was a steak, mashed potatoes, and peas with a large glass of milk. My wife and I did homework with the kids after dinner. Both kids got a movie tonight at bed time cause they went to bed a few minutes earlier than usual. That way they don’t loose out on well needed sleep (school night) don’t wake up cranky. My workout tonight really worked my arms again even after a day off I think the other day for kempo I may have banged my joints a little bit during the punches. I’ll be ok though. I’m P90X ready . Tonight’s workout went extremely well, I did great. My angled pushups were good. The fly angle pushups were good for me to. In recent weeks my triceps are starting to form theres actually something there as of before I started you couldn’t reaaly see triceps in my arm. Abripper X was a finisher for me I was drained after tonights workout. My ab’s are feeling pooped after heels to heavens. The burn tingles you get from this means your Bringing-it!!! This is a good start for this week to have the change up in the workout. 3 weeks to go… P90X!!!

P90X Day 34

P90X Day 34
Jen: Today I had to help my cousin move. So before I decided to go there I got up early and did Kenpo X. Next to plyometrics I think this is the other hardest workout. Constant movement, dripping sweat, and breathing heavy. It was definately A LOT of hard work. It was fun at the same time though. Not your normal type of workout. You’re doing punches, kicks, and blocks. I yell occasionally too. It is a great workout to pop in even if you are stressed out. I can see myself having a rough day and popping this into the DVD just because it is fun and a good way to release some stress. I think it is now my favorite out of all the other routines, which is strange to say since it totally kicked my butt! So after I damn near killed myself I deicded to head to the “Big Move”. Let me just say this was NOT easy! She has 3 kids under the age of 8 and a lot of stuff. Her husband was working and we all know where my husband is. So this was lovely. It was just her and I and 4 children hauling stuff back and forth between the new and old house. Once we grabbed everything we could from the old house we had to stay at the new house and wait for the utility guys to show up. While we were waiting for them we decided to paint one of the bedrooms. Let me just say…..no matter how many baby gates you put up or what precautions you take a 1 and 2 year old will always find a way to get at paint if they really want to. Once I had my fair share of that mess I headed home. I had gotten a call from Tommy and apparently the salmon run had been rained out (think it had anything to do with my voodoo?). That was a nice suprise, but I was in a foul mood. I had banged up my hand during the moving, I was tired as hell, and starting to feel sick on top of it all. BLAH! So we chilled for a bit and talked about the fishing trip. Afterwards I decided to join him for his workout of Legs and Back. Since I took Friday as my off day I skipped this routine. It was killer since we were both already extremely tired. I switched up to a heavier band this time around. I’m on orange now. I can really feel the difference. I make sure to hold it for a few seconds and the end of each move so I am really isolating those muscles. I have a problem with balancing on my left leg I notcied during some of the other moves. Something I’ll have to work on more I guess. My favorite move during this routine is the Groucho Walk. Anything that can bring humor into it is great. You have your legs wide apart and squatted. Then you walk 4 steps forward and back. Really hilarious! For Ab Ripper I wasn’t into it. By now I was most definately wiped out and tired of it all. I wonder if I am doing some of the moves right because I feel it more in my lower back than anywhere else (like the first 3 exercises). I can’t do the side oblique crunch to save my life. I don’t know why but I just can’t seem to coordinate myself enough to lift everything at once in one fluid motion. I am really confused on that one. So that is it for the day. I am off to the showers and LOTS of sleep. I have earned it!
Tom: Tom Legs and Back Ab ripper X Hello I am back for my fishing. Nice to be home and be back to my family. Legs and back for me today was a blast. I am using the Blue Bands now in my door for all my pullups. During my lunges I am also using 25 lbs bar bells, these past weeks I am upping the weights and doing less reps. I am going to get ripped!!!! My legs fell great from doing these lunges and squats. I got airborn during the excersise when you squat down and back up to jump and get up off the ground I got up in the air to a small jump I try to give a little extra when I know I have it in me to give. Stepping up to the heavier bands and weights with p90x has really made my arms fell much stronger. Ab ripper was nice to since it was a few days since I have done Ab ripper due to my fishing trip. I took my breaks a few times to catch up with my breathing. Aloowing me to get a good form in and do them properly.
