Ok we made it through Yoga with the help of Homedics Smooth Sounds sound machine. Wow, we have to do this twice next week. That is fine, just gives me more chances to get even better at it.

Wow, Puerto Rico. You will have a blast, espcially now that you will be looking fabulous. Just think with this new lifestyle what you will look like on the future trips as well :).

I am now wishing I would have blogged about my experience as well from the begining. I blog my kiddies lives, afterall.

March 15th...get ready to "Bring It"

Hi Stephen! Thanks for saving me!!!

It really is a commitment......if you want results anyway. You're totally right. Once you start working out, it's all good. It's bringing yourself to do it everyday thats the hard part.

Tony is crazy and can be annoying at times, but he does keep you motivated.

Cleaning out your cabinets and fridge is the best thing you can do for your diet!!! If I didn't have 3 picky eaters at home, I would do the same!!! I have to buy hot dogs and boxed mac and cheese for my kids! My fiance doesn't care too much for "healthier" foods either! I am very good with breakfast, lunch and my snacks because it's all around my workout and it's easy to take a cup of tomato soup to work. Dinner is always a challenge! To try and make something healthy for me, but at the same time tasty enough for my family to eat!

The recovery formula does rock! I also like Shakeology. Maybe I will make that a regular part of my diet for round two. I actually mixed the two sometimes in my first round!

Oh....are you going to continue to run on top of P90X? I tried to get a treadmill session in once in a while during my first round, but it wasn't a regular thing. I love P90X, but I don't feel like there is enough cardio, unless you do doubles. I want to add running or swimming, maybe on saturday mornings to help my lungs out a bit!

Talk to you soon!!

Hey Chris,

I will take your advise, totally!! When I was finally able to do a chin-up, I was really excited and just wanted to be tough!! I will modify and do more reps now.

Thanks for following!

Thanks Renee!! I really don't want a flat butt!!! I wouldn't mind being bootielicious if I was looking good every where else like J-Lo! LOL!! Just kidding.....sort of!

Anyway, I think I am going to try and use less resistance for the chin-ups, like use my legs more on the chair, and do more reps. A wide back is great for a guy, not me!!

I know your workout is going great so far, but are you starting to see a change or feel any different? What about your husband? That first time you step on the scale and you see that you are losing weight, it's very exciting!!

I will be posting round 2 which will start on MONDAY!! One thing I am a little concerned about.....I am leaving for Puerto Rico on the 24th and I come back on the 31st, and although I will be doing my workout every day, I might not be able to post everyday. I will have my laptop with me, but my father in law kinda lives in a rural area and there isn't any wireless or hot spots anywhere!! I don't want anyone to think I'm slacking because I'm on vacation!!!! I'll be sure to post something about it before I leave and hopefully everyone will understand!

Talk to you again soon, Renee!

That's great Laurie Jane! This program really works and I know you will get great results! The hardest part is bringing yourself to do it everyday!

I will be blogging for my second round, yes. I am excited to start again! Two weeks off P90X feel weird! I feel like I am in danger of gaining weight if I even look at a cookie!!! I need to workout again and soon!

I tell you, blogging about your workout really helps to keep you going! Posting pictures especially. I was sooooo embarrassed to post my day one pics, and who could blame me, but eventually they got better which made me want to work harder. Post you link so I can check out your blog!

Good luck to your and your husband!

Erin, thanks for this blog. I've saved it and read yours and several others every day. I'm on day 4 of P90X Classic (my wife is doing P90X Lean). It's really a commitment to keep going, especially through the soreness. I've found it's really not as bad...yeah it hurts like crazy...but once I'm on the mat I'm good to go. Tony Horton is hilarious! Love his attitude and wily personality.
Besides taking MMA last year for a few months, I've been a big runner. I had to take a month off from my interval running, and let an ankle injury heal before we could begin. Now we're going full throttle and following the nutrition plan to the "T". We completely cleaned out our refrigerator and cabinets and bought only what we needed. I totally agree with the recovery formula. I'm not using the P90X formula; just something similar (nearly the same ingredients). Without that, I probably wouldn't be able to walk from the parking deck to my office every day.
Thanks again for this blog!

Erin,

About not wanting your back to be wider, I would recommend you try to do a lot more reps of pullups while modifying it to make it much easier. Try to do more reps and less weight on the back flys also, this should still strengthen and tone your muscles but develop less bulk. Glad you decided to do another round of P90X and excited to follow your progress again.
