Good news everyone!!!

P90X ROUND 2 STARTS MONDAY, MARCH 15TH!!!  IM READY……BRING IT!!!!!

Hello all!!  I am excited to do a second round.  I don’t think I am quite ready for Insanity or a hybrid schedule, so I think another go at P90X will do me some good.  Now that I know what I need to do to get great results, I will really be pushing myself.  I am stronger now, so there is no excuses this time!  No…..I can’t really do that exercise yet……or that one is just way too hard……none of that!  I would really like to lose another 15….that would be AWESOME!!  Slim down the belly and theighs some more……get the arms a little bigger……TRY NOT TO BULK UP MY BACK!!  I noticed my back was a little wide towards the top when I was trying on my baiting suit and I didn’t like it!!  Should I go back to the bands, or just do more or less reps on the chin-up bar.  I don’t want to lose that large muscle building cuz that burns fat all over.  Any suggestions?

My diet is in the bag.  You just get so used to eating that way, you don’t even need to look at the guide or keep track anymore.  I basically eat the same thing for breakfast, lunch and my snacks.  Makes life easy.

I finally took my measurements!!!  Here they are:

Day1:                                  Day 90 (a little after!):

Weight             155                                      141

Body fat %       26                                        20

Chest                35.5                                     34

Waist               36.5                                     32

Hips                 36                                         33

Rt thigh           25                                        22.5

lft thigh           25                                         23

rt arm               12.5                                     12.25

lft arm              12                                         12.25

In the beginning I wrote my body fat percentage wrong.  I had it at 16%, but it was really 16 mm on the body fat tester….I didn’t read the chart correctly!!!  So 16 mm is really 26% body fat.  My arms didn’t change much in terms of size, but I did replace some of the fat with muscle for sure!  What’s most important, is that my whole mid section from my waist to my thighs slimmed down, including my butt which I’m not too happy about, but what can you do?

Tonight I think I will do some cardio x and ab ripper.  I am home with the kids tonight, so I don’t think I can go to the gym.

HELLO P90X’ers!!!!

I had a extremely busy weekend, but I am back ready to work out!!!  I will be working out my plans this week and I will be sure to let you all know ASAP!  I am thrilled that many of you are still coming back to share your workout ups and downs!  Sometimes you just need a kind word, even from a perfect stranger, to keep you going.

Although I had a week off from the P90X, I have not been resting at all.  I hit the gym twice, had two really intense practices, and I had a competition on Sunday.  I don’t think I would have been able to sit around for a week and not exercise at all.  That’s another great thing that P90X does for you.  It makes you want to exercise!!!  I did check up on my weight, and I was a sweet 140!

I know I have been promising a video and ending measurements but I have been sooooo busy!!!!  I will try and do the video tonight so my video guy can start working on getting it on the site this week.  My measurements will be in the video too.

Just a little pic from Sunday’s competition……..no uniforms yet!!!  I can’t wait to take that pic for comparison!!!!!

P90X: Crash course in health and fitness

Hello everyone!  I am still in my off week but I have managed to make it to the gym twice already!  I can’t just sit around!!  It doesn’t feel right!  So last night I went to the gym……..I didn’t bring my fitness guide or anything but I totally knew what to do!  It’s like P90X gives you this life lesson on fitness.  I’m no expert, but I certainly sounded like one to my workout partner!  Of course I had to start with cardio.  The think I am not so great at!  So I ran a mile, not much to most people, but to me that’s an achievement.  Even in my better years in high school, a mile would absolutely KILL me!  So I ran that with no problems.  Maybe I should shoot for two next time.  Anyway, we moved on to legs.  I did squats with weights, those three positioned calf raises, and lunges with weights.  Two sets just like Tony taught me :)  Next we hit the chin up bar……yes the chin up bar!  Thank god they have this nifty bar that you can step on and add weight to help push you up.  Kinda like how I use a chair at home.  So I did three sets of those, three different hand grips.  Much harder on that machine with the counter weight than with my chair at home!!!  Next we moved on to ABS!!  I have all of the moves engraved in my head since I did this workout three times per week, so no worksheet was necessary!  Now the night before this one I was at the gym with another friend and we did ab ripper x.  I know you aren’t supposed to do it two days in a row, but I really wanted to!!  So there!!  LOL!  The second time around was tough!  Don’t get me wrong, I flew through it, but I was really feeling it!  I liked it!  I might do it again tonight………..TONY!  If I can feel my muscles in my body without flexing them, I was working hard!  That’s the way I feel anyway!  I have also been really trying to eat right.  Not perfect, but I still keep the Nutrition Plan in mind!

4 days without the P90X :(

Honestly, I miss doing it every morning!!!!  I thought I would like the week or two off, but I find myself really wanting to go to the gym at night or I’ll break out the chin-up bar for a couple reps!!!  How funny is that!!!  I don’t know…..I’m sort of leaning to a round 2!  I love the idea of Insanity though.  That program would be soooo hard on my lungs!  I think that is the one thing that the P90X may be lacking.  Cardio.  There is Plyo and Kenop every week, but I don’t think it’s enough!  For all-stars (cheerleading) we have our whole routine done, and I do feel stronger for stunts and tumbling, but at the end of the routine, I feel like I just smoked a pack of cigarettes!!!!  I don’t think most people who choose to do the P90X are looking for stamina, right?  Mostly weight loss, muscle gain, and strength I think.  I could have done doubles.  That probably would have helped me with my routine.  But again, most people don’t do the P90X in hopes that their stamina will improve so they can get through their cheerleading routine!!!!!  I know Insanity is all fast paced jumping around, push-ups, and who knows what else!!  A friend of mine on my team is doing Insanity and I can’t wait to hear what she says about it!!  She is in WAY better shape than me thought.  She is a personal trainer and she can tumbler her a** off, so it will be much easier for her than me!!!

Anyway, I can’t wait to get back into a workout!!!  We’ll see what the masters say!!!  90 day follow up video coming next week!  Have to wait for the masters (of 90dayreview).

Talk to you all soon!!!!

Still here!

How about a side by side comparison.  Day 1 vs. day 90:

Day 89

I forgot to post about day 89!  Sorry!! Long story short….Kenpo X…went well.

This is it!!! P90X DAY 90!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP I MADE IT!  Day 90, Yoga X!  Who cares about the workout, I finished the program!  I can’t believe it!!  So I had an incredibly busy weekend, so I will do a fit test and my final video this week.  I will also do all my measurements and I will post them ASAP.  But I can tell you that I lost a total of 14 pounds.  I didn’t hit my goal of 20, but I’ll take 14 for the first time around!  I look better, I feel better, I am stronger, I can do more athletically, I have more confidence in myself!!  Does P90X work?  ABSOLUTLEY…I MANY DIFFERENT WAYS.  I totally understand the program.  I could have pushed myself a little more and ate a little better.  I probably would have reached my goal of 20 pounds, but when you aren’t sure what the program can actually do for you, you tend to go easy.  Not that I went easy, but looking back, I could have worked a little harder.

Please stay tuned!!!  I do have to take a week off, as per the 90dayreview blog masters, but I will be back.  Not saying what I will be doing.  It’s a surprise.  It could be another round of P90X, maybe lean, maybe adding P90X Plus workouts.  Or it could be Insanity.  Let’s wait and see!  I will be checking comments everyday if anyone wants to leave a message or ask a question.  I will also let you know what I am doing during my off week, diet and exercise wise.

Coming soon:

-90 day finale video

-fit test results (comparison to day 1 fit test)

-body measurements

-announcement of what’s next!

Thank you all for your support and kind words.  Blogging about your workout really helps you to stay on the ball.  Everyone can see your pictures and will notice if you aren’t getting anywhere.  Now for the final progress pictures……………..day 90!  Super up close and personal…I hope everyone can see this!!!!

Pay no attention to the date on the photos……..the calendar on my camera is screwed up and I don’t know how to fix it!!!!!!!

P90X DAY 88!!!

It’s getting closer and closer!!!!  Day 88 was supposed to be a stretch day, but I totally deviated!  I have practice later tonight so I’ll stretch out then.  I wanted to get in an actual workout today so I did part of Cardio X, I did Ab Ripper X and did a 2 sets (10 reps) of reverse grip chin-ups.  I honestly cannot sit through that stretch routine! It’s sooo long and OMG boring!!  I stretch on the regular anyway for cheerleading, so I thought for this last week I can take it up a notch and actually burn some calories!  I have a feeling that I will still be at 141 pounds by the end of this week, but hopefully I can lose just one more pound so I can say that the P90X helped me to lose a total of 15 pounds!  I can’t wait to do that fitness test again!  Just to see how buff I really got!  This weekend I will be putting together a 90 day finale/progress/measurement/final thoughts/what’s to come video!  Stay tuned!!!

Tomorrow:  Core again..yuck
