Week 11 is here!! Day 71!

Today’s workout was Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X.  NOT one of my favs.  Too many push-ups!  What girl likes to do push-ups anyway??  I like doing chin-ups now because of the whole working large muscle groups to reduce midsection fat theory!  I was actually pretty tired this morning because of the hectic weekend I had!  It all started on Friday night when I went out dancing.  Got in a good workout though, my legs were actually sore the next day!  Saturday, woke up super late of course, took my week 11 pics and did Kenpo.  I had to get ready for my daughter’s competition, so I had no time to post.  Then on to the competition.  It was a late one so we didn’t get home until after 9pm.  Woke up early as hell on Sunday, about 6:30, to get ready for another competition.  That one ended around 12:30 thank god, and I actually took a nap when I got home.  Then I had to wake up and get ready for my practice which lasted till about 10 pm.  So you can understand why I was tired this morning!!  I almost didn’t want to do the workout!!!  I made myself do it, and I did put a little effort into it but I didn’t have as much spunk or energy as I normally do.

As you can probably guess, my diet was not so great.  I won’t even tell you what I ate, but all I had access to was the high school concession stands!! AND what else are you supposed to eat on Super Bowl Sunday besides pizza and wings???  I didn’t actually watch the game, not a fan, but that’s what was for dinner that day!  Hey, I can’t be perfect all the time!!!

Tomorrow:  Plyo (>p)

    Hi Erin,

Sounds like a busy weekend, but it is good to see that you are still going. Great progress on the week 11 pictures. You have come really far and only have a few weeks left! I had a friend who is interested in P90X. It will be great to show her your final results.

I haven’t cheated on the diet yet, but see how being in a different environment could leave no other option. To err is human, to go back to salads from fried food and soda is divine!

    Keep it up,
    Pete

Hi Pete, yes…..too busy! It is definitely hard to workout in the morning when you are totally exhausted!!

Yeah! I feel gross when I eat bad now! Sometimes you DON’T have much of a choice!! What I ate at those competitions was not good and I actually felt a little sick to my stomach later on! It’s like now that you are exercising and dieting, when you stop or even slip up, you feel bad about it one way or another!! Which is a good thing because you don’t want to stop!

Only on day 2.. Really worrying about the measurements of food & such… Seems like its so much food.. Is there any advice you can give me to help me relax about this?

Hi Jennifer! Are you doing the meal plan approach? I have heard that there is a lot of food! I am doing the portions approach which gives you more control. I try to eat smaller portions, but more frequently. This way your metabolism is always working and it will start to speed up. If you are doing the meal plan, I would just eat what you are comfortable with but making sure to eat every two to three hours alternating meals and snacks.

    Hey Erin,
I’ve been reading your post and I am really struggling with buying P90X…I really want to but I dont know. But reading your post have certainly motivated me. I dont know !!! Let me know what you think…

    Hi Danyel,

There is no question that this program works, because it certainly does. You just have to commit to it. The diet and the exercise schedule. It’s tough at first. As you start to get into the routine, it gets easier to bring yourself to do it then you can really push yourself during the workouts. The diet doesn’t have to be complicated either. I think the portions approach is way easier and you don’t have to spend a lot of money on the ingredients need to make the food in the meal plan. I find it’s much easier to commit to working out every day if you get up a little early and do it in the morning. I was reading the extremebodyworkout.com blog and they said something that made total sense. “Your results are only as great as the effort you put into your diet and exercise.” I totally believe that! I could push myself a little harder I think. I am happy with my results so far, but looking back, if I just pushed a little harder, I might have lost 20 pounds by now instead of 14 or 15.

I think you should try it!! You might be able to try it for a couple of weeks then return it if you don’t like it. Check extremebodyworkout.com for that information.
