I did it!! YEAH!! I got through CORE!

So you all know I hate core synergistics with a passion, and I have been strugeling through it.  Well not today!!  I actually did all the exercises!  It was tough, but I did it!  Push ups and all!  I even did those prison cell push ups!  I’m telling you, I am really going to try and “bring it” phase 3.  I might have to tone down the weights though.  Does anyone think I am getting bulky?  I know it’s hard to tell from the pictures, but I am really feeling the pop.  I would also like to loose 10 more pounds and I don’t think that will happen unless I tone down the weights.  What do you all think?

Phase two of the Nutrition Plan is so much better than phase 1 because I can eat more than one carb!  Whole wheat wraps and whole wheat bagels are great for a tuna sandwich for lunch.  You get sick of salad all the time!  If I don’t have a sandwich for lunch, I will make a scrambled egg white fajita.  A yummy breakfast creation!  Phase 2 is great.  More realistic.

Tomorrow is X Stretch, an easy day.  I really never rest so maybe I’ll go to the gym and hit the eliptical and the tanning beds!  That actually sounds really nice, maybe I’ll do that tonight.  I need some relaxing “me” time!

    Hey Erin-
Great job so far! keep it up, by now i assume you are hooked. Just so you know (as a motivational tool), I just started the program, and it’s even tougher than most of the workouts we did in the army! its awesome to see a girl hang through the program and not cheat. you inspired me to keep a very detailed log of my progress, as well. thank you : ). quick thing for you, though i havent read all of your blogs (yet), and dont know if you have run into this problem yet or will later: water. will all the protein you are or should be pounding, your body is draining you of both water and all your vitamins. you’ll get ripped, but will gain all the weight back very quickly if you arent drinking AT LEAST a gallon and a half of water per day and taking a good multi vitamin. because the nutrition plan, even in phase two, isnt exactly natural, i very much recommend you find one if you havent already. great work, keep it up, BRING IT!

    Hello Matt!

I am hooked, I love this program and it’s crazy to think that it even stands up to a workout you would do in the Army!! I always wondered if I could live through boot camp!

Thank you so much for the compliments and that important piece of information. I didn’t know that about protein. I do actually have a good multi vitamin, but I don’t always remember to take it. I try to drink only water and I have to have coffee, but I don’t think I am drinking that much water. I will definitely try and remember to take my vitamins and drink even more water. Gaining that weight back after my workout is done is something that really scares me!

Again, thank you so much for the advise. Matter of fact, I will take my vitamins RIGHT NOW!!!

Erin – Here’s my 2 cents. No, I don’t think you’re you’re getting “bulky”. I think you should keep the lifting heavy weights as long as you can keep good form. Heavier weight will build more muscle and your body fat percentage will go down. Since muscle is more dense than fat, you wont necessarily see as much weight loss on the scale in the short run, but the added muscle will raise you Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). A higher RMR means that the muscle will be burning fat even when you’re just sitting around doing nothing.
BTW, I just got my chinning bar in the mail, so I’m getting ready to Bring It! starting tomorrow.

    Thanks Dean.

Sometimes we need other people to put things in perspective for us!! I will continue to bring it with the weights. I would rather my RMR be higher, definitely!

I am excited for you to start your 90 days!! Don’t forget to let me know how you do!
