The official half way point of this 90 day journey!!

It’s day 45!  WOW!  I’m half way done!!  I really does go by fast!  That’s why you can’t waist time bull sh****ng in the beginning!  You have to start bringing it day 1!  Today I worked the crap out of my arms.  I upped all weights from last week by 5 pounds and kept my reps in the same range.  I did do 12 chin-up reps like I said I would yesterday, but I still hate them!  Chin-ups and push-ups really suck!  I think they are hard for women in general because you need sooooooo much upper body strength.  Even Dreyah (she was not in back and biceps) uses a chair for chin-ups.  I am having trouble using the chair though.  I think because I don’t have any normal chairs in my house and I am facing in towards a very small bathroom!  I only have two bistro like arm chairs that are made out of solid iron and 4 stools that are not very stable for this sort of thing.  Oh well.  You work with what you have I guess!

You know what I hate?  The fact that my right arm muscle is getting bigger than my left.  I know that probably happens to most people, but should I try harder on the left arm for a while?  I don’t like that uneven feeling.  For my legs its opposite because of breaking my right ankle last year.

Ab Ripper X was great today as always.  I was extra tired because I worked so hard at back and biceps, but I still pushed through it!

My diet is going well.  I did have a tuna wrap for lunch, but the only other carbs I ate yesterday were a couple of potato wedges I baked in the oven.  So I guess I sort of teetering between phase 1 and 2.  Maybe I should just start following phase two.  What do you all think?  I lost about 10 pounds so far and I am in week 7.  I am working harder…..I just don’t want my tummy to get bigger!  Am I being stupid???  Should I just follow phase 2?

Tomorrow is my fav….Yoga!

p.s. that’s a 45 pound band in the pic.  Don’t mind my messy workout area!!!!

Thank you for creating this blog! It is great to read another’s opinion of the workouts as well as their ups and downs. I began the lean version 10 days ago and love the workouts for the most part. I mean they are hard, but it feels great to get through them. I also hate the push-ups!
You look great! You are making great progress and it helps to keep me motivated, which is especially necessary as I have found waking up at 4:45am to complete the workouts is my best options.
Keep up the good/hard work! I look forward to following this through day 90!

    Hi Ashlee,

I’m glad to hear that you like the program! I was thinking about doing lean because I can sometimes get wrapped up in my weight, but I did classics to help with cheerleading. It is a good feeling to really finish a workout knowing that you put all you have into it! I don’t know how you wake up that early!!! I am so not a morning person. I have been this way my whole life! When I was in grade school, my mother would get me dressed while I was still sleeping!! More power to you! I wish I could get up that early!!!

Come back soon and good luck!

I have been researching this exercise workout on Amazon and their are so many complaints about scratched discs or bad discs. Does anyone else have an opinion on this. I would hate to spend the money and then have problems with the discs not working right. It was like one complaint after another on Amazon.com.

    Erin Reply:

Hi Tracy, I haven’t had an issue with that so far. I think I have used every disk at this point. The disk jacket can be a pain when your taking out and putting in the DVS’s, but it’s probably the bad luck of the draw if you get ones that are scratched. If you do get some that don’t work, I would just contact the retailer and have then send you new ones. Although I don’t know what Amazon’s policy is on that.

    Good luck!
