Injured again!!

Why is it that I always have to get hurt when things are going good????  Broke my hand last year right before competition, broke my ankle in the third game of my softball season, hyperextended my knee like a month ago, now I have a pulled forearm muscle!!!  WTF!!!  I don’t want to dwell on injuries, but I want this to stop!!!  It’s just a big inconvenience when you are trying to get into shape and reach goals in your sport!!! UGH!

So anyway, today’s workout was chest, shoulders, and triceps.  The one with a ton of push-ups.  ewwww.  I don’t like push-ups at all and I can’t do that many.  Still, I try to do my best which is 10-12 as of now.  All of the other exercises were good for me today.  Upped my weights here and there and got it done!  I did had to take it easy on those push-ups because of my arm, but I still did my workout this morning.  Even though I really wanted to skip it!!

Ab Ripper X.  What else can I say about this.  I love doing it now because I can do all the reps and that makes me feel cool.  You all know that I have issues with my tummy and I am thinking about doing it every day during the week instead of three days.  I know Tony says you shouldn’t but I won’t do it on the weekend.  I don’t know if that will be good for muscle recovery, but I want to try it for a week.

I need to start using my food journal again.  I have been eating as I am supposed to, but I haven’t been writing it down like I should.  I don’t want to get lazy with it or start eating things I shouldn’t so I have to stick to my original plan.

Tomorrow is Plyometrics.  I will be sure to get enough sleep for sure tonight!

    Erin,
    sorry to hear your injured, thats so frustrating! I stumbled on your blog, so happy to see someones experience.. I started P90X on sat… and boy was it ruff. After trying the workout one, where you need a bar or bands, I was frustrated as I didnt have them… Where do you get the ones that go on the door as you discussed? What are they called?
    I am very impressed you can keep up with a child & school activities & do this program… I only work 40 hours a week, & think its going to be really hard to do this every day.

    Hi Lisa,

    I got all of my equipment from extremebodyworkout.com. I have the P90X Chin-Up Bar and the Resistance Bands Complete Kit with the Band Upgrade Kit that works with the door.

    It can be tough on a busy schedule, I just have to get up early enough and get my workout over with in the morning! I know you can do it! You just have to put yourself on a schedule.

    I hear you on the push-ups! I tend to slack on those more than anything else in the whole program.

    For food log, I love the free online version of Fitday.com It keeps track of everything, so you can really see tha balance of protein, fat & carbs plus nutrients, sodium, etc. Good luck!

    Hi Charlene, push-ups stink! I need to try better because I have that fat pouch under my arms that I would like to get rid of! I will check that food log out. An online one might be easier than me just writing it down. Thanks!

    upped my numbers this week with good form! This workout hurts for 3-4 days afterwards … so , yeah looking forward to the burn
