Rest? I don’t think so!

Hey Guys, it’s day 21.  An optional rest/stretch day.  For me, a full blown practice!  A lot of jumping, tumbling, and tons of stunting.  Ok, so I have been working out everyday for three weeks, 1 1/2 hours a day.  How come I am still sore every monday after practice?  To anyone who thinks cheerleading is NOT a sport, let me tell you, no other physical activity that I have ever done in my 26 years has kicked my butt more!  Except for Plyometrisc!  LOL!!!  Of course I was sore after every workout week 1 and part of week 2 of the P90X, but I think because I only have practice once a week, I really feel it the next day.

I have to say, I am feeling stronger each week.  I tossed those skinny girls in the air like it was nothing!  My tumbling is getting better and better each week.  Still working RO2BHS, but next week will be ROBT for sure.  I am abbreviating because it’s too long to write out!  They’re tumbling passes.  My jumps were pretty high too.  I was in the front looking extra flexible!

For those who are totally confused as to what I am talking about and for those who would actually like to know, go to youtube and search for “all star cheerleading jumps”, and “all star cheerleading tumbling” and lastly “all star cheerleading competitions”.  You will see the difficulty of this SPORT that is CHEERLEADING!  BTW…..the image is a layout basket toss performed by the cheerleaders of the college I attended, Purdue University.  Go Boilers!

So, Saturday was my family’s holiday party.  I have to say that I am proud of myself!  I didn’t pig out like I thought I would!  I had a little taste of a few different dishes, but I didn’t eat to the point where I was full.  I had a small cup of fruit for dessert and a cut little cheesecake with a cherry on top.  It was only a little bigger than a mini reeses cup.  I drank a small cup of punch and a cup of coffee.  Not a huge pitfall in my diet!  Although I didn’t live up to the promise I made on Friday because I didn’t do a second workout that night.  I didn’t feel I needed to!
