Hi all! It’s day 22, the start of recovery week. My workout schedule has totally changed to give my muscles a chance to rest. There will be no resistance workouts today. Yoga, core, kenpo, stretch and a couple repeat workouts. I did Yoga X today. What else can I say, I got through it, was able to do almost everything, and my form is getting better each week. OH!!! I actually healed the crane pose for a couple of seconds! I couldn’t find the balance in previous crane attempts! Totally excited about that! You know, if you are doing yoga at home, you should really be alone with no distractions. This morning my little distraction was my son! He is usually still asleep when I do my workouts, but he got up a bit early today! He was “driving” his toy pick up truck under me when ever I would do downward dog! It was innocent and pretty funny! I should have had my fiance video tape it! That’s ok. I did the workout in full to the best of my ability. That’s what counts.
My diet, as you know, wasn’t great over the weekend due to the party, but it wasn’t horrible. I am back on track today. Eating every two hours without fail! Which reminds me, it’s about time to eat lunch right now so I’ll rap this up! I made a recovery/shakeology shake for breakfast this morning. I didn’t want egg whites AGAIN, so I grabbed my greenberry Shakeology. I had just finished my workout, so what the heck, I added a scoop of recovery formula. I also added a banana and some ice. It was pretty tasty and good for me! I think I will add Shakeology to my diet. It’s supposed to make you regular and who wouldn’t want to be regular, right? There is also a ton of stuff in it that is really good for you and is supposed to get rid of nasty toxins in your body. That sounds good to me!
Tomorrow is Core Synergistics……..GOD HELP ME!

Hey Erin -
Great job on Yoga. The funny thing is I did Yoga with a group of friends this weekend and it actually helped more because we were all working hard on our form. I was able to hold crane for the first time too this week for about five seconds. My buddy that has been doing this for about 10 weeks held it for just under 30 seconds!!! So there is hope.
If you don’t mind, I used you as motivation for working on the diet a little more this past week. Chicken salads for lunch with protein bars for snacks. More chicken and vegies at night and eggs w/ ham in the morning. All total 2 lbs lost this past week and dropped a pant size finally!!!
I can’t wait to hear what your thoughts are on core. I played racquetball on Friday for 1.5 hours before doing core and suffered through to the end. I will do them in reverse order next time.
Anyways – keep up the great work. It’s still a great week to work out.
Talk to ya’ later,
Greg

Hi Greg,
your right about doing Yoga with other adults, but with kids around it’s tough! I made my fiance do Yoga X with me once and I was trying to out do him with my form!
I am glad I have motivated you into trying the diet. It’s stinks at first if you are anything like me, because I love to eat, but you will get used to it. I eat pretty much the same things every day until dinner. It’s just easier that way. Congratulations on the weight loss! Loosing those first few pounds is exciting!
Core, OMG I hate it! Ok first of all, some of those moves only Tony and Mrs. Super-fit Dreya Weber can do! I was getting frustrated because this is week 4 and I’m struggling with a workout! I am glad I only have to do this one 4 times in the entire 90 days! I’ll talk more about core in today’s post.
Thanks Greg and keep working hard!
Erin
