Hey Guys! Today, day 11, was Yoga. It was a nice workout, nothing too strenuous, but the moving asanas are pretty hard. You are constantly having to control your body moving from position to position without forgetting to breath, which I do from time to time! The poses that I have the most trouble are the Half Moon and Twisting Half Moon poses. This takes a lot of calm, core strength, and balance. Also, can’t do the Crane to save my life! This reminds me of something I would do as a kid playing around trying to do a head stand! But as an adult, I am still not getting it! I can do it resting on my head, but not balancing on my hands. Tony does say that it’s an expert move, so I don’t feel so bad! But I feel good today, soreness is no longer! My hip is bothering me a little, but I think thats from all the stretching and twisting! It’s all good. For a good cause anyway!
I am still sticking to the diet. I even went to Friendly’s and didn’t cheat! I ate sirloin steak tips that were sautéed with onions and peppers, garden vegetables, and a small portion of rice. The only thing that was a “cheat” was the fact that the rice was white, not brown. I didn’t finish it all, and as much as I really wanted to, I did NOT get ice cream
I think I need to eat even smaller portions at dinner time. I really do eat small through out the day, but a larger plate at dinner. It makes me feel just a little uncomfortable. I’m not stuffed, but just enough to feel like I ate too much. I’ll have to work on that.

Ok Yoga left me feeling insufficent…I am like you, trying to remember to breath during the first part. Silly, when I was younger I could do the wheel, now I just do the bridge. Oh, the crane, forget it, I just squatted in the pose and continued to try…not going to give up. Side from all this, what all do you put in your morning smoothies?

Wheel is painful now a days!! I have a bad wrist and that just makes it so much worse! Towards the end, I was able to do crane for a few seconds. That really takes time to master! I felt the same way after yoga, but I guess it’s sorta a rest/stretch day……but you still get a little bit of a burn. Holding those poses does take some body control which I’m guessing burns calories!
One of the smoothies I like to make has vanilla whey, plain non-fat yogurt, frozen strawberries, skim milk, 1 banana and some ice. I also like to use Shakeology, chocholate and greenberry. The chocolate I keep simple. Maybe adding some peanut butter and ice. For the greenberry, I like to add a banana and maybe some yogurt to make it more of a meal. I also add some recovery formula to any of these if I am drinking it after a workout. I like the first one by far!! The shakeology smoothies are way more healthy though.
