Day 10!

Hello,

I have just completed day 10 of my 90 day journey!  80 days to go!  Today was Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ripper X.  I got a good workout in today.  I tried to up either my reps or my weights from last week to give my self a new challenge.  I don’t want to just to the same thing every week.  I don’t think that’s what this program is about anyway.  For example, for the curl exercises I went up to 30 lbs, last week I was using 20 lbs.  I seem to be better with the workouts that are not cardio based.  My lungs suck.  So I am really going to push myself with the weights.  Don’t get me wrong, I will be trying my hardest to get better at plyo, but I know I can really push myself with the weights.

I have that nasty fat hanging from the back of my arms, so hopefully this will make that all disappear!!!  On my all star team, I am a base most of the time (fly occasionally) and I lift 120 lbs girls in the air.  Not by myself, but it’s not easy!  P90X is supposed to get you into great shape and increase your athletic ability.  So we shall see!!!  I have practice this Sunday, so maybe two weeks of P90X has improved my performance!  I would also like to look nice in my new crop top uniform!

Uniform with 1 kid (not too bad):

UC

Uniform with two kids (white was a bad choice!):

CIA

Also had a broken hand! EWWWWW.  I’ll post a pic of me in my new uniform at the end of 90 days.

Anyway, back to what’s important!  Ab Ripper X is getting better and better for me.  Each time I do it I can complete more and more reps.  There was only a few moves that I wiped out on.  The V-up pulse up things, and the side crunches.  Those are extremely hard and the body positioning is hard to master.  Of course I do about 15-20 mason twists, not 50 like Tony!  He’s crazy.  Even he’s hurting after that!

My diet is the same.  I am actually starting to want to eat smaller meals.  Last week I added a post with before and after pics of what I eat.  Now, it seems like even the “good” plate is too much for me to eat.  So hopefully my stomach is shrinking!  Cool!

Erin great job so far. I started my first p90x journey and made it through day 35 when I got hurt (ice hockey related, not P90x) related. It is well worth it. I am about to start again and wanted to replicate the site you have here. Could you help me out? I like the layout, the calender in the top, etc. I also think that putting myself out there like you have will hopefully inspire others and will help push me even more.

Hey Mark. I did not design or develop this blog, I just post on it! There was a sort of calling call from the people who do run this blog for someone to review the P90X. I do hope I get good results to inspire others because I am putting somewhat embarrassing pictures of myself on the internet! Seeing bad pictures of yourself and knowing that others are seeing them too is GREAT motivation to get into shape!

    Good Luck Mark!

I am with you on the weights vs. cardio…some days the warms ups kick my tail, lol. I also, up’d my weights today from last week. I decided for now I will let the muscle building burn the fat. I bet you can see a great/wonderful difference in your outfit throughout this workout and especially now at the end! I know what you mean about the workout and “suppose” to take a week off…I cannot imagine not doing this, I am already hooked. I wake up and cannot wait to get the kiddies situated to get my workout going on! Oh the anticipation of what you are up to next……….

Hi Renee, I can’t wait to get my new uniform. There has been a little delay, but hopefully in a couple weeks.

I am not liking not doing P90X every morning. I thought I would like the break, but by the end of the day, I’m like shoot, I should go to the gym!

P.S……I wish my hair was that long again!!!!! Hey Renee….did you feel the need to cut your hair after you had your triplets??? I don’t know what it is….after each kid I totally chopped my long locks right off and regretted it later!!!

How funny! Yes, I did cut my hair off, much to my husbands dislike and later to mine. I am now letting it grow back out. I am putting Yoga off until I put the kids to bed tonight…I am solo parenting this week. My husband is out of state and I know I will need to SUPER concentrate. I look forward to your encouragement throughout my journey :) . Thank you so much, thus far!

LOL!!!! That’s funny!!! You just want a total makeover after you have kids!!! Husbands need to be more understanding!!

Even though I am not currently doing p90X, I will be posting and checking in with all of you! I hope to start a round 2 or Insanity REALLY soon!!! Keep pushing play and keep bringing it!!!
