P90X day 9: Plyometrics >p

Hello!  Today was tough for me.  I was tired this morning and the workout was extra hard.  But I made myself stick it out.  I have to admit, I wasn’t as spunky as I was last week doing this, but I guess we all have bad days.  My knee was also bothering me a bit, so I had to tone down some of the exercises a bit.  I was doing the modified versions that “Pam the Blam” was doing.  My heart rate was waaaaayyyy up there, but my lungs are not in shape yet.  Hopefully that will change soon, cuz they were burning!  But another day of Plyo down, many more to go!

My diet is the same.  Egg whites for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch, cottage cheese, fruit, and a P90X bar for my snacks, filling in the blanks for dinner.  I haven’t had any serious food meltdowns yet, which is surprising to me, but I did sneak a half of a sandwich last night.  I was really hungry!  I didn’t use any mayo and the cheese was 2%, but the slice of bread was an extra half of a carb serving….sorry!

I will be posting a weekly update video soon!  (From that point every week)

I tried getting up early this morning so I could start a new workout but once that alarm went off all I did was hit snooze…..3 times! I’m just not a morning person…I guess I might try working out at night. I really do want to get in shape. My husband and I are trying to have a baby and I want my body to be in the best shape for it. I heard that the better shape your in, the more you’ll be able to manage the labor.

Hi AvaAnne! It’s really hard for me to get up in the morning too. Thankfully, I have to get my daughter up and ready for school by 8:30 so I don’t have a choice! I think if I didn’t have kids I would work out at night too. I’m totally not a morning person!

Congratulations on trying for a baby and good luck!

    Hi AvaAnne,

I am starting the P90X also, but I got it from my bf and he is so not organized and lost the plans. I am trying to figure it out from your blogs but I don’t see your first couple of days of here. Can you help me out in as what workouts you did? Thanx!

    Hey Jeanine,

There is a calendar at the top of the blog that you will be able to use to go back to day 1, 2, 3, etc. but it’s getting fixed right now. Sorry! Your are supposed to start out with chest and back if that helps!

Loved it again today (Plyometrics) it did kick my tail. I had to play referee with the triplets, which was a sideline workout…sort of wishing next week was not the last week of it for a week, but then again after that recovery week with core workout + cardio; I may come back and really be able to kick tail… still cannot wait to see what you are up to after this week…heee, lol….my triplets are 2 1/2, I just set them up with snack and play-doh or legos. I can see such a difference in my leg mucsles (being more sculpted) even from where I played soccer and basketball up until recently! Wow….loving it!

    Hey Renee,

Triplets….I though twins! WOW! That’s so cool!

Plyo is tough. I really hated it….everytime I did it! It really does get your legs burning!! I actually can’t wait to start back up again. I was going to take the week and just rest, but I can’t!!! I am so scared of gaining that weight back!! I went to the gym last night and did 30 minutes of cardio, ab ripper x, and some of the push-up exercises from the videos! My friend was looking at me like I was crazy!! He was like, “what the heck is that?!?! You had to do that?!?!” I felt strong last night thanks to P90X!

    Keep up the good work!
