Hi Jenn! So how do you feel after the first week? Are you sore? Did you take before pictures? I tell you that really helps! Especially if other people can see them!!
Keep it up and let me know how you do!

Hi Mike! I think this is a great program. It can be hard at times, especially sticking to the diet! Once you get used to it after a week or two, it becomes second nature. I am happy with my results so far, but I honestly think I could have done better. I do push myself, once in a while I do just go through the motions. I have two kids, and I don’t mean to make excuses, but sometimes I am just tired! Today’s workout was hard for me because I am lacking in the sleep department. I will write more about that for today’s post. My point is that if you really push yourself and work hard, you can get even greater results!
Good Luck!

I just ordered the DVDs and am very nervous as I am not in great shape to being with. You look great! Any tips or suggestions to get over the fear of getting started would be awesome.

Hi Rachel,
Thanks so much! It is harder in the beginning. All you have to do is really prepare yourself and go for it. Plan your schedule ahead of time, and workout at the same time every day. In my opinion, the morning is better to get it over with! Also, plan your meals out. The portion approach is easier to manage if you have a tight budget or if you don’t like to do a lot of elaborate cooking. The last thing to do is to commit to it every day. If you have a bad day, don’t be discouraged. Try harder the next day. Do your best to finish the workouts even if you have to modify some of the moves. Since the diet is really important for weight loss, try and stick to it and record what you eat. After a while it will become second nature and you wont have to think too much about what to eat.
Good luck Rachel!

I just started today. Ugh omg. I’m almost 21, I was in pro soccer last year and at my current job I don’t do much moving and went from 145 to 175 in 6 months. I used to have a 6/8 pack, and now I’m sick of looking at myself. I hope this works. It seems to have for you!

Hey Erin!
I am about to start P90X on Monday. I have been reading your blog since you were at day 66, you look amazing BTW! Anyways I am setting up a Blog and a Live Broadcast of me working out every day. I think the fans will be what keeps me going in the first two weeks. Try and stop by, I would love to hear word from a veteran of the program now.
I am starting to drink the two day shakes tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Hi Kelcy! The biggest thing, I think anyway, is to keep your head in it. These workouts can be tough at times, and the diet can be hard to follow, but always think that you will look great at the end of 90 days if you stick with it and work hard. 90 days is a long time! I did the workouts everyday and followed the diet, not perfectly, but as best as I could anyway. Looking back, I could have pushed myself a little harder during my workouts. I wasn’t lazy with them, I just could have busted my ass every day and I would have probably lost more than 14 pounds. It was just not knowing what the program was going to do for me….so a little skepticism was in my head. It’s hard to explain. I read another blog and I came across a phrase that makes total sense and I can tell you from experience that it’s 100% true:
“Your results are only as great as the effort you put into your diet and your daily workouts.” (extremebodyblog)
Good luck! Push yourself!!!!
