P90X Reviews: Day 10 Shoulders/Arms/Abs

P90X Day 10

P90X Day 10

I had a scrambler for breakfast with a glass of OJ. These scramblers are a great treat to have every few days. They really give you the energy you need in the morning. For my AM snack I had a recovery drink, it really hit the spot considering how hot it was in the shop. Lunch was turkey salad. It was HUGE!!!! Could barely finish it, it was damn good though. I made more than my fair share of hours at work today….all on one car. Didn’t feel drained at all from last night’s workout. I remember last week I had felt sore and tired. For dinner we tried the broccoli and beef stir fry from the nutrition guide. My kids even ate it and they’re pretty picky about chinese food, no matter what kind it is. Today’s workout was shoulders, arms, and abs. I used my bands again during the exercises. I tried adding an extra 2-5 reps from last weeks exercises. I just wanted to try to BRING IT a little better. The wide flys are hard as hell. You have to switch from lifting front and sideways. Very very hard! I’ve been sleeping better this last week. I haven’t been waking up with as much back pain as I used to. I think it has something to do with improved posture and diet. I have a lot more energy too. My wife has noticed a few changes too <wink wink> Stamina is right up there. Going into the Ab Ripper I really felt like I got into the zone. As I was doing Heels to the Heavens I felt my form improving.

So that’s all for today folks. Tomorrow is Day 11, just remember do your best and forget the rest!!!

Hey great blog so far on your X journey…funny too…I actually got P90X 3 years ago in 2005 and did 6 weeks of it….in that 6 weeks I lost 12lbs and was in pretty good shape, but alas got satisfied and lazy and missed a day, then 2, then 3 and ended up dropping it altogether, over the last 3 years i’ve been in and out of shape, but nothing like I was when doing the X (crap what shape would I have been in, if I had done the 90 days!). Over the last 18 months I have really let myself go and want to get back into shape which led me to your blog…thanks for the inspiration, I’ll be starting the X again tomorrow…cheers!!!

Good luck to you man! Keep me posted on your progress. That’s awesome you made it so far last time. I’ll be rooting for you!

Hey Tom – Just started X two days ago – WOW. The only question I have for you is, are you using a pull up bar? If not, what are you doing instead?

    Thanks

Jesse, I’m not using a chin-up bar as my door frames won’t work. I use the resistance bands and the resistance band upgrade kit.

It has a special door attachment so you can do the modified versions of the chin up bar workouts with the bands. How was you’re first 2 days?

I have been reading your blog since you began your journey. I must say I am impressed with your ability to keep your posts recent given your family and job responsibilities. I started the program a 3 days ago. I need to lose 20 pnds as well so I am on the lean program. I also add 30 to 60 minutes on my stationary bike daily in addition to the workout routine. Thanks helping me stay focused. My daughter fell asleep so mom needs to get her workout on.

    Biba,

Thanks for stopping by. Posting in my blog everyday helps me stay committed to the program and I have a lot of support from my family and people like you here which really helps a lot. Wow, tacking on the stationary bike too? That’s a lot of work you’re doing. You’ll lose that weight in no time. Stop in again and let me know how you’re doing.
