P90X Review: Day Three

Afternoon Everyone,

This entry will be shorter then the others, I may get back tonight to add more but at the moment I don’t honestly know.  Last night, I ended up having to work.  My line of work is in the transportation industry, I’m a delviery driver, but last night took me out of where I live by three and a half hours, to which I finally had to pull over at a Service Station and get in the back of the van to get a few hours of sleep.  I didn’t actually get home until nine thirty this morning, and just now starting to wake up but I’m waking up with a huge migraine that is finding my whole head to be aching like mad crazy.  I took some of my medicine to help with it and with hopes that it will take over soon which will leave me sleeping.

I will try to get back up to do the work out of Day Three but to be honest, I don’t know if I’ll be able.

In regards to how I’m feeling, today I’m hurting I’ll be absolutely honest with my readers.  I can honestly say that I can barely move, the P90X System is a work out made for a beast.  I’m trying to get my head back in that mindset but with the migraine right now – its really hard.  I am stiff, and I can’t extend my arms much and the chest is just has equally sore.  Everything hurts, the legs not so much the calves but my thighs are just having a hard time responding to me want to walk.  Today sucks, to be honest about it.  I am having a hard time being able to tell which of the current aches and pains are really impeding me at the moment.

    Hey -
Just wanted to say that I stumbled upon this site while searching for reviews of the product. I am enjoying your blog a great deal and hope that you are feeling better. Hang in there! I look forward to future updates. Absolute best of luck to you! (Friday is almost here…)

That sucks man but think of it this way, the pain you are feeling is mostly muscle fibers that you trashed and those are going to rebuild and get better, stronger, faster, just like the six million dollar man… hehe.

I think the hardest part of working out is the soreness. It’s cool and even kinda fun at first. Lets you know you are doing things right and you feel all pumped, all gung ho, and then it just kinda wears on you. You start getting tired of being sore all the time. You’ll get through this though and your body will quickly adapt. In a couple weeks you’ll look back on this and smile. You’ll get to the end of the plyo routine, turn off the dvd and think back to when you couldn’t make it all the way through… to how it left you sore for days… and you’ll feel great about the progress you’ve made.

Just keep your eye on the prize and you’ll make it!

Keep at it, it only gets worse before it gets better. But if you just take your time and don’t get discouraged you can go all the way. “DO YOUR BEST…AND FORGET THE REST!!!”

    Hey James -

I got started a day late so I ended having plyo last night as opposed to Tuesday night. With that said, I’m incredibly sore and it’s a great reminder of what it felt like when I first started; although it also works as a motivational boost because I can remember how much better I was after just 1 month.
Sorry to hear about you getting sick, that’s a real bummer. But if you can knock it out, shoulers and arms isn’t too bad and once you get started it’s that much easier. Ab Ripper X is also very doable and from my experience is actually easier the third day than the first for some reason.
Hang in there James, you’re gonna be just fine man. Keep your head up and “bring it!”.
