P90X Review Day 1: That long forgotten burn!

p90x day 1

Its is good to be back on the P90X. I had forgotten how much better p90x made my life before. It is easy to get off track and get lazy. The bad part is that you don’t realize how important working out is until you do it again. After working out I feel great, absolutely energized. The past few weeks I would get up and feel slugglish, and that feeling would mostly last all day. After working out and getting my blood pumping my body was so thankful.

I ate oatmeal before working out — I will never do that again. Half way through I felt like throwing up so I took a long break to let my food digest some more. Then I brought it for the second part and for Ab Ripper X. I got the P90X Chin-Up Bar because I am in an new apartment and it can fit the doors, unlike my old dorm room. I pushed all the exercises to failure and by the end I could barely push myself off the ground. For the rest of today I could feel the effects of the workout in my arms. What a great feeling! I really excited to be bringing it again. I can feel my happiness level going up already.

Way to go bro! I am finishing up on week 4 myself and I am so ready for week 5 to start. I freaking LOVE P90X. Keep up the posts and the motivation. I know from reading your posts that this time you will “Bring It” to the finish line.

I started at 260 pounds. I deployed for 4 months and came back 225 pounds. I shot up to 235 in one month while on R&R. Then I got back on track. I started P90X December 3rd 2007 and I combined “weight Watchers Flex Points” diet program with the best fitness workout ever created. Today, 27 December 2007, I am sitting here weighing 208 pounds! I could have not gotten this far toward my goal of 180 pounds without Tony Horton and the P90X fitness program. I am hitting my goals every single week and I am geared up to hit my long term weight loss goal of 180 pounds by the end of March 2008.

    Keep on bringing it buddy!

Brian, outstanding to see you start up again. I made it through my 6th week and saw some decent results, but I ended up having to quit right after you did. I’ve been doing a P90X workout here & there but I can’t wait to get back into a solid commited routine. I’m planning to start on New Years. I really hope I do not allow anything to get in my way this time. I will be checking your site daily to help keep me on track. Thanks alot ahead of time for your hard work. I’ll take any advice you may have for me. Take care.

Welcome back Brian. Glad to see you are back at it. I read through all of your previous posts before and have decided to take the plunge with P90X. You are a great motivator. Hopefully I can keep at it and not let some distractions (um, sabres hockey and work) get in the way!

Hey Brian, I want to wish you all the luck with this routine. Stay focused and committed and the results will be yours. I have been working out on and off for the last three years. I have a bad habit of getting in shape (committed for 4 or 5 months), then taking a prolonged R&R (2 to 3 months) and putting on 15 to 20 lbs and having to start all over again. I am thinking about ordering P90X and committing myself full heartedly for the 12 weeks. Any feed back and comments about P90X is greatly appreciated. Your site is a great inspiration and I find motivatio in your logs. Stay focused and on track!!

All the best with this Brian, stick with it!

Is the p90X really the truth? I am thinking about purchasing the p90X. Is it a tough routine to stay on?

I’m thinking of purchasing it too, and want to know if it is REALLY worth the money?

I started P90X last summer. As a school teacher this was absolutely the perfect situation. I started at 222lbs and got down to 205 by the end of the summer. My goal was to get to 190 by the end of the 15 weeks. It never happened and I was slightly disappointed. However I managed to stay within 205 and 209 throughout the entire year.

Now that summer is back and I have all the time in the world, I have decided to try the P90X lean routine instead of the classic in combination with running 2 to 3 miles every day. With the help of weight watchers and hot summer days, I better be at 190 by September. I am just curious to see if anyone has advice on this.
