Thanks for all the feedback from my last post. I have been bringing but I decided to leave that post so it would get attention. Part of me feels guilty for running into problems. It is hard to confront the fact that despite my commitment I took the nutrition for granted. However, I hope that this serves as a lesson for people about to start the P90X that it isnt a cake walk, and that you need to be serious about it. Also, that the more work you put in, the more you will get out of it. That may be obvious, but I hope people about to start the P90X can learn from my experience.
The truth is that the P90X has helped me achieve such great results already. For me, I should be proud of the fact that I have even come this far. I have never once in my life stuck with a fitness program or routine for more then a week. I haven’t even come close before in actualizing the potential I have to be fit and healthy. So far the P90X has transformed my life. I feel utterly confident in my body now, which I never truly felt before. Also, it has taught me that real change is possible. I have seen results and I know that I can continue to see more results. That lesson alone has been worth this program. Not only does that lesson apply to physical fitness but in every other life endeavor. It has shown me that true change comes from working hard and not wishing hard. So lets bring it in this last stretch.

EMERGENCY HELP. I flat out skipped the P90X today. Not good. I kept meaning to fit it in and I had some people stop by and they didn’t leave until 2am. By then I said screw the p90x, and went to bed.
This is dangerous. I have come so far. I really should be cranking it up a notch, not toning it down. Also, I feel like my intensity has plateaued. Although, I know I have gotten stronger by noticing how much more I can lift, I feel like I look the same now as I did on day 29. Shouldn’t I be much more ripped by now? Have I not been bringing it enough? Have I let myself get a little too lazy with my nutrition? Yes probably.
It seems like whatever creative endeavor I am in there comes a point 3/4 the way through where everything starts to fall apart. It seems like all the hard you have put in is going to be a waste. I think I have hit that mark. Please anyone out there experience this? Any suggestions for me to refocus and to really bring it for the last leg?

In my attempt to be more social I woke up early and played some intense racquet ball with a friend. However, the combination of waking up really early and moving around a lot tired me out from doing the assigned P90X workout. I was supposed to do Plyo, but since having done it on Saturday decided not to. I ended up taking a long nap and not being very productive. I need to make sure I get enough sleep next time.

I really must say that since getting a pull up bar I realize its crucial to really maximize results with the P90X. Pulls are very hard, which means they will give you great results. I have been casually doing pull ups throughout the day and it feels great. When I started the p90x I could barely do two. Now I can push myself and crank off 8 at a time. Wow. I never believed it was possible.
Also, today I just followed the workouts without the video. I’ve done the moves so much that I don’t need the cueing the get the most out of the workout. It helped me to cut down the time a bit, because Tony takes time to explain the moves, chat it up, etc. So if you are in a hurry go head and just follow the workouts from the booklet. The other technique I have used is tracking ahead on the DVD when I finish with the workout. It shave off a few minutes.

To be completely honest, I usually dog it a bit on P90X Plyometrics. I will end the move 5 seconds early. Often I skip gap jumps because I barely have the space for it in my room. However, today I substituted Plyo for when the P90X called for Kenpo. I did this because I feel like Plyo is harder and burns many more calories and also strengths your legs more, and is better for your heart. In this last month of the P90X I really need to lose a few more pounds to reveal all the great muscle I have been building, so I figured as much plyo the better. And today I really brought it on Plyo like never before. The key is focus on the exercise at hand and not to worry about how many moves are left. I just took it 30 seconds at a time and that allowed me to do everything with precision and I am sure get a better workout.

I really rocked today’s legs and back workout. My legs have gotten very strong from doing this workout every week of the P90X. Wall squats are becoming a cinch. I feel like I will need to do something to up the intensity of this workout. Perhaps just adding more weight to the exercises will be enough. Tony always recommends lower weights for most of the workouts and perhaps that is why I have been shy about adding more. But next week will definitely be time to up the weights. I really wonder how much weight I will be able to squat now. I bet when I finally go back to a real gym and workout I will be amazing at how much more weight I will be able to lift.
