P90X Review Day 43: How big can your triceps get

So today is the start of the last resistance week in P90X’s Phase 2. I am coming up real close to the halfway mark in the P90X system – yay!. Perhaps I should do a check in on day 45 with measurements etc. I know some people have been asking for that. I must say that I am pretty pleased with my results with the P90X thus far. I’ve given up on the fact that I will be ultimately chiseled, but at least I’ll be much more ripped then before. Its hard to see how my arms can ever grow substantially in size. But I guess if I keep working at it they can only get bigger and more defined, which is encouraging.

I just realized tomorrow is Plyometrics. Crap. And I also scheduled to play Racquet ball in the morning with a friend. We will see how tomorrow goes.

    Brain, I wouldn’t dismiss the idea of being “chiseled” by the end of the work out. you are at a critical point and you should have major results by the end of the 90 days.

    Hey Brian interesting site, its funny i think you started p90x the same day i did (i might be a day ahead of you)

    Either way i would say pretty much this has been my favorite workout so far. I started working out in 11th grade and i never really got a sweat at the gym. I feel so much better however i have to wake up at 5 am, so cardio in the morning can be a real bitch. Plus doing martial arts three times a night makes my workout even harder.

    I think the daily pictures thing kind of takes it away, most people only post pictures of day 1, 30, 60 and 90 to see the end results. Either way keep up the post and the workout!

    Brian, I keep meaning to ask: how closely are you following the p90x eating plan? And, are you using the p90x supplements, protein bars, post-workout recovery drink, etc.? Feel free to answer me off-line, if it’s easier (kevin@RealAstute.com) …

    To be honest I am not following the nutrition plan that strictly. The Nutrition plan is split up into three phases. THe first phase is more protein and less carbs, to help shed fat. The second phase ups the carbs to give you enough energy for the workouts. Also, I do eat 5 smaller meals throughout the day. And I also eat mostly fresh vegetables, fruits, and lean meats (lots of fish and chicken). And then I will also cook a lot of brown rice and whole grain pasta. I have not been using the p90x supplements and protein bars etc. I simply can’t afford them being a college student right now. I do hear great things about them, and they can be very helpful. They did a very good job with the recovery drink, my buddy who is also doing the p90x swears by it.
