Today’s workout was Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X. NOT one of my favs. Too many push-ups! What girl likes to do push-ups anyway?? I like doing chin-ups now because of the whole working large muscle groups to reduce midsection fat theory! I was actually pretty tired this morning because of the hectic weekend I had! It all started on Friday night when I went out dancing. Got in a good workout though, my legs were actually sore the next day! Saturday, woke up super late of course, took my week 11 pics and did Kenpo. I had to get ready for my daughter’s competition, so I had no time to post. Then on to the competition. It was a late one so we didn’t get home until after 9pm. Woke up early as hell on Sunday, about 6:30, to get ready for another competition. That one ended around 12:30 thank god, and I actually took a nap when I got home. Then I had to wake up and get ready for my practice which lasted till about 10 pm. So you can understand why I was tired this morning!! I almost didn’t want to do the workout!!! I made myself do it, and I did put a little effort into it but I didn’t have as much spunk or energy as I normally do.
As you can probably guess, my diet was not so great. I won’t even tell you what I ate, but all I had access to was the high school concession stands!! AND what else are you supposed to eat on Super Bowl Sunday besides pizza and wings??? I didn’t actually watch the game, not a fan, but that’s what was for dinner that day! Hey, I can’t be perfect all the time!!!

Day 70, Sunday, my daughter had a competition early in the morning. She actually had one Saturday night too so we were very busy this weekend!!! This is why these posts are up a little late!! Anyway, my little clementines did awesome!! They are so young (4-6) and it’s amazing that they have so much confidence and fun in front of so many people! They just got their uniforms on friday night so they looked like pro’s out there!!!
I also had practice later that night. We did more choreography and I did some tumbling on the side!! I need all the practice with that as I can!!! I got the balls to do my power hurdle ROBHS all by myself! Now that I know I can do it, I just need to work on my technique!!! I think my standing BT is better then my ROBHS, but I am still a little scared! Now to master that double toe to BHS!!! At least I know now we have more time before we compete for the first time! February 27, which is actually my LAST P90X DAY!!! How funny is that!!!!

Hello everyone! This post is a little late, but I had an extremely busy weekend!!! I was able to fit in my workout Saturday morning, but had not time to blog! The workout was good as usual. Noting exciting to talk about really. So I will just get to my weekly progress!! I weighed in at……………………141 pounds!!!!! YEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I have three weeks left and I know I wont reach my 30 pound weight loss goal, but 20 pounds would be AWESOME!!!!! Alas…….with three weeks left and a average weight loss rate of 1 pound per week, I don’t think I will make it to 20 either. Anywhere between 15 and 20 pound lost will still be a great achievement!!! Holy Crap! To be in the 130’s!! Like I was in college before BOTH of my kids! Wish me luck!!!!!

Three weeks left!!! I can’t believe it!!!
Hello! I killed it today!!! I really “brought it!” I did legs and back and ab ripper x. The leg exercises come easy to me. I love them! I have a new technique for chin-ups. I still use the chair, but I have on leg on and one hanging down, and the leg that’s on the chair is locked out. So I am not at all pushing up with my leg. I am only lessening the weight I have to pull up by one leg’s worth of weight. That’s probably a lot seeing that I have monster legs! I am starting to do these pretty quickly! Gettin’ it done!! 12 reps for each now. No less! I mentioned this the other day, but I now know that working larger muscle groups like the legs and back really help to slim down your midsection, and we all know that is probably the spot that most women would like to see slim down first! I know I do!!! I had a HUGE gut! My knee did give me a little trouble today, but I just sorta worked through it. I did have it wrapped up, but I must not have wrapped it tight enough. Oh well. I made it through anyway!
This morning I ate a cup of oatmeal because I am getting sick of eggs, but I would still like to keep it simple. I think I get more energy from the oatmeal anyway. In the car on the way to work, I had my shakeology shake with a little recovery formula in there for an after workout snack. For lunch I had black bean and ham soup. Just a little cup. It was HELLA good!!!!!! I didn’t want soup yesterday, but that “3 scoops” salad I got yesterday didn’t sit right. For dinner, I am having kielbasa, which I don’t think it’s a good meat to have. I don’t think any ground meat or sausage type of meat is on the approved list……let me check…..nope! But my fiance loves this dinner and I think my body is better at burning fat calories than carb calories since I have muscles. I am not going to make any more excuses. You have to live once in a while!!!! It’s not a horrible dinner, it’s just that the meat isn’t lean…at all. I do sauté in some veggies so it’s not a total loss!
Anyway, I either have a week before my first competition, or three weeks. That depends if we are ready for the 13th. So just in case, I am really going to work extra hard this week so I don’t look all sloppy in that crop top and tiny shorts uniform!!!! I am feeling better about my pictures, but it’s different when you’re jumping around and gravity is working against you!!! If we don’t compete on the 13th, guess what!! I will be done with my 90 days before I compete for the first time!!! How sweet is that!!!!
Tomorrow is a Kenpo day! I have to remember to do it first thing in the morning and get those photos done right away. Otherwise, on a Saturday, I could put it off until 11 pm!!!
Hello everyone!
Today was a yoga day and I got in another great workout. I wasn’t as bored with this as I was last week, strangely enough, so I put a little more effort into it. Did all the moving asanas, all the balance poses (even did crane), and I did the stretch at the end. This is a long workout, and because you are moving slowly, it seems to never end. But I guess you have to listen to Tony’s advice and not think about anything. If you think about what you have to do at work, or are constantly checking the clock, the time will surely go by slower! I never have total silence so I can’t put myself in that trance mode that that one guy…..David or Michael Hause put himself in. He looks totally gone! I would like to try that one day. Just be in total silence, except for the DVD, stare into nothingness and focus on the breathing and the moves. That would be nice but you have work with what you have!
I’m hungry right now and I don’t know what to eat. I have some soup but I don’t want it. Most days I just eat because I have to, but today I feel like eating something good. I don’t get like this often, and I don’t like it when I do because I might eat something that isn’t so great. I had oatmeal for breakfast, so I have on serving of carbs, I had an orange, so my 1 fruit is done……I guess I should probably have a salad with some chicken or tuna…..OOOOH!!!! The cafe across the parking lot has a salad called “three scoops”. It’s a green leaf salad with a scoop of chicken salad, a scoop of tuna salad, and a scoop of egg salad. That sounds good but there may be too much mayo involved.
Well, I am starting to go on about noting, so I will end it here. Tomorrow is legs and back + ab ripper x. Another fave of mine.
Hello! Today’s workout was back and biceps and ab ripper x. It was a great workout today. I really pushed myself! I did the straight legged chin-ups so I had less help from the leg. I am now happy to do chin-ups because I know that working larger muscle groups will help reduce your belly fat. Exactly what I’m going for! I of course upped some of my band weights again! I don’t want monster arms, but I would like them to be a little cut up and a lot less FAT! I ran out of time this morning and didn’t get to ab ripper x. I will absolutely do that later!!!! No question!! This is the first time that I didn’t do ab ripper on a day that I was supposed to and I feel a little loose in the midsection! How weird is that!! It was only one day, but boy I feel bad about it! You see what this program does to you!!!! If you don’t workout or if you eat something that isn’t a part of the plan, you feel bad and never want to do it again!!!!!!

Once again I am sooooo incredibly tired today. My two year old hasn’t been going to bed at a reasonable time and it’s killing me!!!!!! My daughter goes to bed because she has school in the morning, but not my son! He sleeps in like a teenager!! If I wake him up early….WATCH OUT! He will be grumpy and will cry for hours! UGH. The joys of children! Talking about this is making me even more tired.
So moving right along………my diet is the same. Only eating two servings of carbs per day, keeping the protein servings up there, and trying not to eat anything high in calories or fat. Doing OK in the diet department. I think I could eat like this (phase 2) forever! I don’t want to go back to my old ways after 90 days and get fat again!
Tomorrow is a Yoga day so hopefully I am rested because I will fall asleep in downward dog!
Hello! Day 65 is…….plyo! Really?!? Anyway, wasn’t looking forward to today, but am I ever excited to do Plyometrisc? No way!! But I know if I try my best and kick butt I will get better results and my performance will improve. Do I sound like the infomercial? So I did try my best today and I took the proper precautions with my knee. I did wrap it up with an ace bandage. Below, on top and above the knee cap. It did actually help and I didn’t have any problems with it! I was able to finish injury free today! I still might go to the gym later. I need to up my cardio game because my all stars routine is going to be tough and I want to be able to pull all my skills without killing myself!!!
I doing pretty well with my diet. Not giving into the requests to go to Burger King for dinner! Not even interested. That’s how you know this is a great diet. I don’t even want to eat that stuff anymore! I don’t crave junk and soda, I actually like to drink water, and I don’t need to go back for seconds at dinner. Not only did the diet help me lose weight, it changed my whole mentality on eating. Thank you P90X nutrition people!!! Who ever you are!!!
Tomorrow is one of my favs……back and biceps. Wanna know why this workout is one of my favs? Well, I read on another blog that working large muscle groups such as your back can really help to reduce body fat percentage and slim down problem areas like…my belly! I want my belly to look like that girl in the green doing the plyo jump! Also, I think I am getting pretty strong in the bicep area so I like to use heavy weights and pump it up!

Those are the abbreviations I use on my calendar so I don’t have to write the whole thing out…..anyway….day 64 was a good day. This week is a little different than last week in terms of scheduling, so I liked the change. I did try and up my weights where ever I could, but I am a little weaker in the tricep department. Is everyone? Lots of push-ups
but I forced my way through it. There is no way I can do a one handed push-up, so I just did it with two!! LOL!
Ab ripper X was great as usual. Not comments or concerns there. Gee…..I don’t have much to say today. It was a good workout, I didn’t have any problems at all.
My diet is good. Sticking to it.
Tomorrow is Plyo. I am going to try and do it without hurting myself, but there is always the gym later on with my bestest if that fails!!! I will get in a great workout tomorrow no matter what!
